Taima, Afghani and Lambsbread

The growing in Japan is quite stealth. As you probably know, Japan is very tiny, with very little arable land. So outside growing is rather difficult unless you are FAR out in the country. My friend planted some on the island where his grandfather and only 5 other families live, left it, and went back to get it at harvest. It was pretty good, but he had to harvest it a bit early because the area where the island is is quite far away and he can only fly there, and then go to the island by boat. ( It probably takes 6 hours door to door.

It's kind of hard to grow indoors, unless you can lock your growing cabinet or room up, because landlords can pretty much come in when you're not there (even thought they shouldn't and discover your garden. Many buildings have an area on the rooftop for excercise, gardening, and storage...so I know a few people that hide their plants amongst other plants, such as tomatoes. Most Japanese (especially older ones) aren't familiar with MJ, so they wouldn't know it if they saw it. It is very illegal, but there are worse problems like 'kakuseizai' (I guess you would call this Japanese speed that is injected) that threaten society, so the police don't actively look for MJ (but if they find you with it you're in trouble!) and unless you're dumb (or a dealer or even more conspicuous, a foreign dealer) it's hard to get caught. My friends and I would usually go to the rooftop or in a big park at night, or around an outside grill restaurant to smoke (because the smell blends in!) If we do in public, we have to remove tobacco from cigarretes and insert the MJ, so it doesn't look suspicious.

MJ has become quite popular in the last few years in Japan, because Reggae music, dreadlocks, and the 'Rasta style' has become very popular among the youths. One of my friends says 'mon' at the end of all his sentences, even in Japanese! Most of the stuff that you can buy is smuggled in by Iranian immigrants, and what they bring is mostly indica's like Afghani or hash. I don't really like either because they make me tired. My friend came back from Jamaica and had brought about 250 grams back by vacuum-sealing it and then sticking it in a dark-colored duty-free liquor bottle! It was the best I've ever had.
